Design A Logo Competition - Win an iPad, tablet or Kindle!
The Shaw Centre needs a logo and we need you to design it for us!
The winning logo needs to reflect community and will be used on signs, documents and branding for the Shaw Centre. It needs to be simple and eyecatching.
There are three categories :
Primary School student - prize is a tablet computer
High School or College student - prize is a Kindle Fire
Adult (17 plus) - prize is an iPad
There will be one winner from each category. The overall winner will also be used as the main Shaw Centre logo.
How to Enter
- You can enter on paper or with an image file
- Your design must be A4 size and at least 300dpi in JPEG format if an image file
- Include your name, age, address, and a contact number

Terms and Conditions (Brief)
1. The competition is only open to UK residents. This is because we can only abide by the rules of one country for this competition.
2. If you submit a logo you agree we can use it for any purpose for 12 months. This is so we can show your entries online and display them at the launch event. If you win, you agree that we can use the logo for any purpose without further payment, for as long as we need it. If you don't win all rights return to you after July 19th 2015.
3. You can't copy another logo to enter the competition, it must all be your own work.
4. The logo must be suitable for public viewing, for example online or in a building.
5. If you want to enter you need to give us your contact details, name and age. We won't share this information with anyone.
6. You can enter as many times as you like.
7. Family members of the working party are not eligible to enter.

Full Terms and Conditions
1. The competition is open to UK residents only.
2. By submitting a design to this competition, you are granting The Shaw Centre Ltd. a fully paid-up, sub-licensable, irrevocable, worldwide, exclusive licence until July 19th 2015 to allow The Shaw Centre Ltd. to use all intellectual property rights (“IPRs”) in and to your design for promotional use and for any other purpose. If you are selected as the winner (see section 10), following the Term, ownership of all intellectual property rights in and to your design will revert to you and you hereby grant The Shaw Centre Ltd., a fully paid-up, sub-licensable, irrevocable, worldwide, exclusive licence in perpetuity to allow The Shaw Centre Ltd. to use your design for any purpose. Please note that you will not receive any royalties if The Shaw Centre Ltd. uses your design. If you are not selected as a winner,
ownership of all IPRs in and to your design will revert to you following the Term.
3. Entries must be entirely your own original work and must not breach any copyright or third party rights. The Shaw Centre. will not be made partially or fully liable for any non-original work submitted by you. All entries must be suitable for publication on our website and public viewing. The design must not include any defamatory, offensive or unlawful content.
4. If you wish to enter this competition you must provide The Shaw Centre Ltd. with your full name, current residential address and a contact telephone number. The Shaw Centre Ltd. will only use your personal details for the purposes of administering this competition and,
except your full name, will not publish them or provide them to anyone without your permission.
5. You may make multiple entries. Entries cannot be returned so remember to keep a copy.
6. The deadline for receiving entries for the competition by any route is 5pm on 11th of July 2014. Results will be judged and announced on the Shaw Centre website on 20th July 2014. The Shaw Centre reserves the right to extend the competition deadline at its discretion. If there is a revision, the revised date will be published on the Shaw Centre website and the date for announcing the results will be postponed accordingly.
7. The winner will be selected by The Shaw Centre Ltd. in accordance with the criteria set out above. The Shaw Centre Ltd's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. The winner will be announced at the launch day event on 20th July 2014
9. The winner will receive either a Kindle Fire, iPad, or tablet computer dependent on the category in which they submit their entry.
10. The prize must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred or transferred.
11. The Shaw Centre Ltd. does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries due to the internet. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
12. Entrants must supply full details as required above, and comply with all rules to be eligible for the prize. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently. Proof of age or eligibility may be required.
13. The contest may be declared void at the sole discretion of The Shaw Centre Ltd. Furthermore, The Shaw Centre Ltd. reserves the right to cancel this contest at any stage, or change any of the rules or procedures if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside its control.
14. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition.
15. No family members of the working party committee, or members themselves, will be eligible to enter.
16. This competition is administered by The Shaw Centre Ltd.
17. These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
